Non-trailerable Fishing
350 Deepwater by Leisurecat Australia
The
350 LeisureCat Deepwater is a powerful workhorse ideal for all types
of commercial charter fishing and diving, while still retaining the
internal comforts of a liveaboard cruiser.
Its huge and stable cockpit can be adapted to suit the needs of any
water activities or patrol work. Powered by twin diesels, it is
capable of over 30 knots in most conditions.
A full-sized walk-in head/shower, complete with vanity, compliments
the double front berth and full galley facilities.
There is ample storage above and below decks and the moulded dash
area will take 2 x 12in screens if needed. Twin large storage wells
are set into the forward deck either side of the electric anchor
well.

650 CR Cabin Runnabout by North Shore Boats
North Shore’s research has developed a new spirited performer called the 650 CR Cabin Runabout, which has raised the bar in offshore performance and safety.
Tremendous pressure is placed on the underside of all boat hulls so North Shore has built the hull with cutting edge construction on the 650 CR to take the punishment, even in heavy sea conditions.
Each 650 CR hull starts with a lay up of two sheets of tri-axial and double-bias glass matting, plus an outer skin Gelcoat called Maxguard ISO-NPG.
The end manufacturing process of the 650 CR hull is an 18mm thick keel, 14mm thick chines, 9mm thick hull and side panels and 7mm thick upper deck sections.
Many boats in any type of sea conditions tend to vibrate severely, which is generally caused by a thinner hull structure.
The 650 CR performs with minimum flex and vibration in any sea conditions, due to applying a commercial standard hull thickness coupled with a one-piece hull and deck.
It offers a deceptively spacious cabin and cockpit, plus substantial room for three fishermen working on one side of the boat, or up to four divers with gear, or a family of six enjoying a day of cruising.
Judges Award for Innovation
6250 Centre Cab by Fibrelite Composite Trailerboats
The techniques used to construct the hull of the 6.25m Fibrelite Composite Trailerboats runabout have been used for many years to build high performance racing, sailing and power boats.
The 650kg boat is very light compared with similar size aluminium boats and that is achieved by using high-quality, closed-cell structural foam as a core in the fibreglass laminate.
The hull is easily driven and the vessel achieves speeds of more than 30 knots with its 90hp two-stroke Mercury outboard.
The manoeuvring characteristics of the vessel are such that it can comfortably be turned at full steering lock at full throttle.
The boat has upholstered seats on large seat boxes , with dickie seats behind and plenty of storage space underneath.
The wraparound windscreen provides plenty of protection and the hinged centre panel provides good forward access.
The boat has a neat curved instrument pod for engine gauges and mounting surfaces each side are suitable for GPS and depth sounder as well as a switch panel with six switches and a VHF radio.
